About me
A huge fan of Type 34s and all vintage VWs. I've only ever owned one vehicle that wasn't a pre-67 Volkswagen. My daily drivers are a 1964 Type 345 (electric sunroof), a 1966 EZ Camper and a 1955 sunroof deluxe.

Seem to have broken the clutch cable. Ugh…real hassle to replace apparently. You gotta give this one to the Type 2s, MUCH easier to work on in general.

1968 Convertible

This is a 1968 Type 34 Ghia offered for sale out of Montevideo, Uruguay, South America. As you can see it was made into what appears to be a functional convertible. I only have limited information, for more information please contact the seller below.

For anymore information do not hesitate to contact the seller. He is a broker agent and can help with the shipment and all documentation for export.

    Hey all,

Tim is a member of this site. It was his yard that they went to! Maybe he will share some stories.

We've eaten there the past two years and I think it's been well received. What's nice is that they are always happy to see us and can usually respond to a reservation. We used to go to The Claim Jumper which was fun as well, but they are typically pretty busy and usually had troubles sitting us all

Very sorry to hear this. Russ was always extremely helpful and knowledgeable (obviously, considering his background!). My thoughts go out to his family and all of his friends, VW and otherwise.

Thanks for the heads up Kharon, that was a very old article. I think it might have been from our old print newsletter. I've edited out the BFY reference and added in the comments from this thread. I'll try to do a swing through and remove all BFY references throughout the site eventually.
