johnnysvdub Hey peeps, new here and just got a 66 Ghia type 34 that I don't know much about, except that its a rare car and hard to find parts for. I could use some help from any of you out there!! Thanks, Johnny
Mick G'day Johhny. With a few exceptions, all mechanical parts are shared with Type 3's (fastbacks / squarebacks / notchbacks), it's the body and trim that differ. The floor pan is the same as a Type 3 except for the seat mounting rails and the cross member below the rear seat, but these can usually be salvaged from your own car. Type 3 floor pan halves are now being reproduced by classicfab, or you can try to find a doner car. '66 up brake parts are all freely available from most VW outlets. Not sure what else you may need a complete pan for, but post your requirements in the classifieds or the forums and I'm sure you can sort something out.61 days ago
