At first glance it seems that all Type 34s have the same gauges, but there are actually a lot of variations over the 8 years of production. Here’s a quick guide to identifying the right gauge for your year.

1962-63: amber needles and brass knobs, small-diameter 90 mph speedo, 6 volt clock.


1964: amber needles and brass knobs, small diameter 100mph speedo, 6 volt clock.

Early-1965s (to 345 020 907): white needles and brass knobs, small-diameter 100mph speedo, 6 volt clock.


Late-1965s (from 345 020 908) to mid-1966: white needles and brass knobs, large-diameter 100mph speedo, 6 volt clock.


Mid-1966 to 1969: white needles and silver knobs, large-diameter 100mph speedo. 1967-69 has 12 volt clock. 1969 fuel gauge has icons on the warning lights.
