Purchasing a headliner has been a long drawn out process for me. I have been patiently waiting for years for a NOS original to become available but it has become apparent no such event will occur in my lifetime. Luckily, Lars Neuffer has taken the time to create a reasonable reproduction headliner to fit the Type 34.

Lars uses an original NOS Type 34 headliner as a template for his reproductions. This pin-holed headliner, which is only available in cloud white , is smaller than the reproduction generic Type 3 headliner from TMI. In the below photo TMI's headliner is at the bottom and Lars' is at the top.

Included with Lars' headliner is the material necessary to cover the roof pillars. This material, a grained vinyl covering also only available in cloud white, is an accurate representation of the original material in our Type 34s. See below photo.

TMI's headliner does not provide the same material as Lars' kit. Instead it provides additional pin-hole material for the pillar posts. This is not correct if you wish to keep your Type 34 original.
