The Type 34 tachometer is extremely rare (the one on the left)! Here is one (on the left with the center dial). The center tach is believed to be just a VDO aftermarket tach that fits a Type 3 hole. The one on the right is a standard VW Type 3 tach.

If you find one most likely it is a reproduction! An authentic one has a section of it chopped off (or beveled) on the rear so the windshield wiper mechanism, which is under the front dash, can operate without hitting the metal casing.
