Using the site

Welcome to the Type 34 Registry website. We're the largest resource of information on Volkswagen Type 34's (aka Razor Edge, Type 3 Ghia, 1500 Ghia, Grosse Ghia, and many more) in the world. This page will introduce you to the various parts of our website so you can easily navigate it.

What do you want to do?
Chances are good that you're here for a reason. Find one of the reasons below that matches what you need to get to what you want fastest.

I have a question about my car (or one that I want to buy)!
Well, that's easy. The first thing you should do is search the site using the search box in the upper left corner of every page. Just type in something close to what you're looking for and the top results will be automatically displayed to you as you type. To view all results, simply click the 'More Results' link or hit the return key. You'll get results from everywhere in our site that your search matches. From our hundreds of technical articles, blogs section, photos section, forums, in fact everywhere on the site.

The best place to ask a quick question is the Answers section. This section provides a way for quick communication that does not require long discussions.

If you can't find what you need there, or think that your question requires some discussion. Post a message on our Forums. There's hundreds of people there who will see your question...at least ONE of them should be able to help you!

You could join one of our many Groups. We have lots of groups covering a variety of different aspects of our hobby. And if you do not see a group that fits your own interests, feel free to create one. You could create a group for your local cruise buddies, or for a special interest area, such as collecting models, you can even create groups for your geographic location or language.

If you're still at a loss, sign up for our Mailing List. You can ask the email gurus and get a response pretty quick.

I found a car and want to see if it's in the database!
That's easy. Just head to the Database and enter the VIN number, or some other search term. If the car is in there (we've got over a thousand already) you'll see all of the info we have on it, including any legacy entries made by past owners. If it's not in there, you'll be given an option to add it in.

I just want to see some general info about Type 34s!
Wow...did YOU hit the jackpot! Besides all of the resources already mentioned above, we've got a fully referenced Technical Library jam packed full of articles and reference material, from workshop and owners manuals to helpful step by step procedures written by other owners.

I'd like to upload some photos to the Gallery!
We'd love to see them! Just navigate to the Photos section and upload them to your gallery. it's free and available to all registered members. You can even create additional galleries if you wish

I want to know what's happening in the world of Type 34s!
Well, every page has the next couple of months worth of events in the Events section If you have an event coming up that you'd like to see some Type 34s at, please add it in. We like to feel needed.

I want to advertise my product/item/vehicle for sale!
Well, if you have a Type 34 part or car for sale, please visit our Classifieds section. All adverts are free to place, and come with their own photo slide show

I don't speak English very well!
We have added a translator to the site so that you can view all of the information in your own language! Simply click on the map icons at the top of the page. If your language is not represented, simply click on any of the icons - you can then change the displayed language from the menu that appears at the top of the screen.

We also encourage members to start their own interest groups - so why not start a group for other members in your native language, and connect directly with other members from your country.

I'm stuck. Help!
