- How do I post a blog?
To make a blog post, you first need to have a blog. To create a blog click on the 'Create a Blog' link under the 'Blog' menu
Fill in the information about your blog and save it. Your blog will be automatically created.
To add a blog post, click on the 'Manage your Blog' link on the blogs page or blogs menu, this will open up the blog dashboard.
You can type your post into the 'quick press' editor, adding formatting, images and video as required. Be sure to add a title and some tags
If you want to get a little more technical, you can use a full editor by selecting 'Add Post' from the Posts menu.
Adding your VIN as a tag also helps others find your car and associates info with your database entry.
When you are done. Click the 'Save' button.
- How can I upload an image?
Adding an image is a two fold process. First you will need aan album to upload the photo to. To see if you already have an album, click on the 'Photos' link and then on the 'My Photos' link. This will show you all of the albums that you have associated with your user account.
To create an album, simply click on the 'Create Album' link, and then add a description and title. Hit the 'Create Album' link, and you are done.
To add a photo to an album, click on the album you want to upload photos to, and then click on the 'Upload Photos' link. If you do not have permissions to upload photos to the album, the 'Upload Photos' link will not be visible. Next click the 'Browse' button, and select the photos you wish to upload, you can select multiple photos by holding down the CTRL key. Once you have selected the photos you wish to upload, hit the 'Open' button and the selected photos will be shown in the upload queue.
Once uploaded, you can modify the image titles by browsing through the album and clicking the 'Edit' icon next to the image title.
- How can I post a video?
Posting a video is pretty straightforward. There are two ways you can do this. If you already have your video posted on another video hosting site, for example Utube, it is possible to simply reference the video. To do this you will need the videos URL (Web Address). To add it, click on the 'Add' link on the video page, a window will appear asking you what type of video you wish to add. Select the option you require, in this case 'Link Video' by clicking 'Next'. The window will change to allow you to add the video's URL, set the visibility of the video, and which category it should appear in. When you re done, simply click 'Link Video'. Please pay attention to the prompts, as they will let you know which video providers are supported.
If you want to upload a video directly, select the 'Upload Video' option. A window will appear that allows you to select the video file, add a title and description as well as set the category and visibility. When you are happy, click the 'Upload Video' button. Please pay special attention to the prompts displayed, as these will let you know what type and size of videos you can upload.
- How do I post to the forums
Users can post messages to the forums in two ways - existing posts can be replied to, or new threads can be started. Replying to an existing post can also be carried out in a number of different ways. The quickest and easiest way to reply to an exiting post, is to use the 'Quick Reply' feature. To make a quick reply, simply hit the 'Quick Reply' button at the bottom of the post, and a window will appear that allows you to type in a message. when finished, simply hit the 'Submit' button. If you wish to receive notification of any replies made, be sure to check the notify box.
To make a more detailed reply, and use the built in text editor, use the 'Reply' button. This will open up the text editor and allow you to use it's formatting features to write your post. Again, when finished, simply hit the 'Submit' button. The editor provides many features to allow you to add photos, videos, quote text, ebay articles, maps etc.
Lastly, you might want to quote the post you are replying to, this is useful if there are many posts, or you wish to specifically reply to an earlier post. Clicking the 'Quote' button will open up the editor with the full text of the post already surrounded by the quote code. Simply add your comments underneath and when finished, hit the 'Submit' button.
- How can I add an image to my post?
To add an image to your post, when in the editor, click on the 'Add File' button underneath the editor, then browse to the image. The image will be uploaded when the post is submitted and displayed within the post.
- How can I embed a video to my post?
To embed a video in your post, when in the editor, click on the video icon. At the top of the editor you will see some additional form controls appear. Either add the video's URL and click the 'Insert Video' button next to the URL, or select the video provider and then enter the videos ID. The video will then be inserted into the post at the cursor location.
- How do I add a link to my post?
To add a clickable link into your post, whilst int he editor, click on the 'Link' icon. Two boxes will be displayed above the editor, allowing you to add the URL of the link, and the text that you want to be displayed. The link will be inserted at the cursor position.
- How to place an advert?
To add an advert, browse to the classifieds page, and then click on the 'Submit a classified ad' button in the bottom right of the screen. Net select the category that you wish the advert to appear in. You can only select one category at a time. If yo have several items that you wish to appear in different categories, it is best to make a separate advert for each one.
After yo have selected the category, a form will appear that you can add the item details to.

When you are finished, simply hit the save button at the top left of the page.
- How do I add applications to my profile?
Applications are available so that you can customise your profile. Applications are small plugins / widgets that let you display different content from the site on your profile page. To add an application, click on the 'Add Applications' link on your profile page. This will open up your Applications page. This shows your profile page, and the applications that are already installed. To install an application, simply hit the 'Add Applications' link to display a lit of available applications. Once added you can drag and drop the applications to your desired locations, or even delete them if required.
