Its was more my idea than his to just send uncut carpet as I'll make the carpet pieces myself this time so that the fit is right.
At least its sorted and dealt with so that's good.

good to hear its kinda worked out for you. Just sending bits of carpet for the customer to take to someone else and get the missing bits made up is hardly A1 customer service. Well for Lenny maybe it is ...

We agreed that Lenny would send replacement carpet for me to make
the pieces I need which I'm happy to say he's done.

According to the parts list, the 311 611 021A is a 20.64mm bore single circuit master cylinder with a 36mm stroke. It was used from chassis number 24846 to 221974. It was used on Squares (Variants), Notchbacks, and T-34's. VW offered a rebuild kit with a part number of 311 698 191A. I hope this...

I bought what I thought was the right rebuild kit for my master cylinder based on the year (1964) only to find out a different master cylinder had been installed. It appears to be 311611021A not B. It is an ATE product and there's a 20 stamped on the top. The outlets for the brake lines face...

Thanks for your replies mick and its nice to see the site back up and running!

Well mine has the front mats missing and one of the wheel arch pieces as well as 40% of the carpet I did get is made wrong.
Those guys should be ashamed of the way they do business and the way they conduct themselves, not really a joke for an USD800 carpet kit.
    I hope everyone here...

I recently ordered one from them at a high cost but figured it would be good considering all the early cars they do.
Carpet kit turned up with 3 large pieces missing and 40% of what did turn up was made wrong, have emailed them numerous times but still waiting on them to make good on the...

BTW, you can easily check to see if you have a 914 engine (heads) as the spark plug holes are different from the normal type 4 location. From memory they are more vertical. A google should give you some useful info here. 914 heads are more desirable for this reason.
